We suggest a touristic culinary tour from the vicinity of the hotel to the city’s old quarter.

A touristic tour in which you will find on your way to the centre the typical Barrio de La Victoria (district) only 5 minutes away from the hotel. Here you will see the Basilica and the Santa Maria de la Victoria Royal Sanctuary, don’t miss your chance to see the Camarín Tower, one of the first to be built in Spain.

We will come to the Plaza de la Merced where you will find the General Torrijos obelisk and the house where Picasso was born.

Strolling down Calle Alcazabilla, you will be able to visit the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba de Malaga (Arab fortress) finally coming to the Cathedral of Malaga where you will find the Plaza del Obispo, the location of the Episcopal Palace.
This area is surrounded by streets typical to Malaga such as Calle Marques de Larios, Plaza de la Constitución, Calle la Bolsa, Pasaje de Chinitas, calle San Juan, Plaza de los Mártires, all of which are full of bars typical to the area where you can taste and enjoy assorted small fried fish, a selection of tapas, Malaga salad with potatoes, oranges, cod and olives, gazpacho andaluz (cold Spanish soup) and ajo blanco (garlic) from Malaga. You can also try our sweet and fruity wines, typical in this part of the country and we also suggest trying desserts such as home-made ice-creams to be eaten in the typical Calle Marqués de Larios.
Another idea is to try the delicious pastries in the cafetería Lepanto, behind which you can go for a quiet and pleasant stroll up to the Plaza de la Marina in front of the city’s port and continue along the paseo del Parque, three 800 metre long pathways surrounded by orange and cypress trees.

Finally you will end up along the Paseo Marítimo Antonio Machado where you will be able to enjoy impressive views of Malaga Bay with a unique sunset on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

How to arrive?

GETTING TO THE HOTEL FROM THE A-92 (CORDOBA, GRANADA, SEVILLE)

Take the first exit off the A-92 towards Malaga. Once you have left the motorway you will enter the Avda. de la Rosaleda. The route takes you towards Malaga Este-Almeria, passing la Alameda de Capuchinos until you come to the Fuente Olletas roundabout, where the Zenit Malaga Hotel is located.

GETTING TO THE HOTEL FROM CADIZ-ALGECIRAS COASTAL ROUTE

Enter the city, heading towards the city centre. From the centre, follow signs for Calle Victoria. When you get to Calle Victoria, continue straight, passing Calle Compás de la Victoria and Calle Fernando el Católico until you arrive at Avda. Cristo de la Epidemia. The Zenit Malaga Hotel is located on the street´s intersection.
